EML file is an electronic mail file, which contains email message and attachments. It is an individual email message file. A file with .eml extension is archived email messages file that preservers the original formatting and headers. - Now, click on File Types tab and then select EML Outlook Express email
- fter that, click on Advanced tab
- In the new window, select Open and then click on Edit button
- In the Application used to perform action box, type the command C:\Program Files\Outlook Express\MSIMN.EXE" /eml:%1
- After that, click on OK button in next two windows
Way to Create EML File On Desktop?
This file is generated by various email clients. Most email clients automatically create an .eml file extension when users open an email message. To create EML file on the desktop simply drag and drop the email messages present in the EML file supported email application such as Outlook Express, Entourage, Thunderbird, etc.
Difference Between EML And EMLX Files
EML files are generated from Windows-based email application such as Outlook, Thunderbird, Entourage, etc. whereas the EMLX files are created from Mac-based email client such as Apple Mail. Apart from this aspect, there is as such no other major differences between both these file formats.
